Cristiano Ronaldo is counting time
World star Cristiano
Ronaldo is running out of time as he tries to return from injury and
face Manchester City next Tuesday. And he has done something you won't
believe to recover.
The
Real Madrid superstar missed the last two matches, including the first
leg of the Champions League semifinals, because of a hamstring injury
suffered in the final minutes of a La Liga game two weeks ago. He was expected to face the Citizens, but wasn't fit enough even for the bench.
Latest
reports indicate that there is very little evolution on his recovery,
and he is doubtful for the decisive encounter at Santiago Bernabéu.
Ronaldo is apparently unhappy with Madrid's medical team's effort, and
is consulting different people to get a second opinion and maybe even
figure out a way to be healed in time to face City.
In fact, the desperation is so big that Ronaldo has done the unbelievable. I'll let this Diario Sport report take it from here:
Cristiano
Ronaldo is desperate. So much so, in fact, that the Real Madrid forward
has given the thumbs up for one of the people treating his injury to
get in touch with FC Barcelona for a second opinion. Ronaldo is aware of
the professionalism with which the Blaugrana medical services work with
and approved the consultation from the very first moment it was
suggested.However,
the situation can't get much worse, as it is already clear that Ronaldo
does not have any faith in the medical services at Real Madrid. After
he was mis-diagnosed after the game against Villarreal, things have gone
from bad to worse for the Portuguese. First of all, he suffered an
injury relapse during training ahead of the Manchester City game. He has
since had a scan in Manchester, where he used to play for Manchester
United, and then another in Madrid, at the Ruber Hospital. The degree of
absurdity reached new levels when he left the car park at the Ruber
Clinic hiding in the trunk of his car - evidently as it was behind Real
Madrid's back.If
this has in fact happened, it's an incredible story. Just for fun,
Blaugranes: which treatment would you recommend to Ronaldo if you were a
Barça doctor?
