The Colour Splash is a 5.3km run, walk, bike, jog, stroll or crawl (however way one wants to complete it). It is essentially a social/health/community/network day, NON COMPETITIVE activity. A cursory look at Lagos shows a dearth of activities that is geared towards nurturing a social cum community spirit that has spin offs of health and business benefits. To plug this gap, the Lagos Colour Splash run has been conceived.

You just show up wearing white and we do the rest! As you sprint, jog, waddle, or leisurely stroll along you will be bombarded with bright colours that transform a group of ordinary runners into a moving rainbow. The colours that you will be showered in are completely safe and wash off easily. If you don’t think you can beat your friends or family member(s) with speed, see if you can be the real winner by coming out of the race covered head to toe in a vibrant camouflage.
Participation is open to all persons who are physically able to and can undertake the course. Thus, all persons are eligible to register for the event. Registration could be as a single participant, a group or a corporate entity. Since the event could be undertaken in different modes, persons with disability are eagerly encouraged to participate. As a social/community but also business event, organizations will also be expected to register as corporate entities.

The 5.3 km Colour Splash gives you all these benefits plus unforgettable fun and heaps of memories! By the end of the 5.3km Colour Splash your blank canvas will be brighter than ever – your clothes, health, and outlook on life will be changed for the better – the route will have colour stations – at visible distance apart.
The event which would hold at Bar Beach Waterfront, Victoria Island on June 2th, 2015 [6.30am – 4pm]; gives you something super cool to do with your friends and family during the Democracy weekend celebration, and would allow you to post Facebook photos sure to provoke comments and jealousy from people you don’t even know.
The event is powered by In The City, Lagos; a magazine published since October 2013 by 42ndGeneration Entertainment Limited with Virtual Exchange Limited as the production company while Lagos State Government is the host partner.
It is geared to becoming an annual event… In due course, a Charity or a cause would be chosen for special recognition and assistance by raising funds from well-meaning organizations, partners or sponsors before the event. Sponsors can also choose a cause or causes they are interested in.
