Police found Hide Bodies In Freezer

A 38 year old man from Oregon has been arrested When police found his parents bodies inside a freezer on their property.
Jeremy Ringquist, 38, was charged with the
murder of his parents Randy, 63 and Karen, 65. There was an argument between Jeremy and his father concerning immigration issues. As the fight was steaming up, Jeremy grabbed a glock and shot Karen in the chest and his Randy in the arm.
He recalled his father saying that he had better ‘finish him off’ and so Jeremy shot him in the head and chest. After a while, he told police, the bodies stared to smell so he dragged them to a freezer within the home to be stored.
That happened around May 31st recalls Ringquist.
Jeremy had moved back home with his parents after a divorce and disability kept him from working. Neighbors claimed that Karen was a sweet woman but her husband was a raging alcoholic and mentally and physically abusive. Eventually, her son joined in on the abuse.
Karen’s cousin Mark Cestaric knew what was going on at her home and urged her to leave. She said she couldn’t because of financial reasons and also not having any relatives living nearby.
After not hearing from Karen for a few days, Cestaric called the police asking them to check up on her. When they showed up there was a note on the door saying the family was on vacation. A few days later the police were called back but there was a note on the door that this time said there was an emergency.
“I told them, ‘Something is wrong. You guys need to check it out,’ but they said they walked around the [outside of the] house and they saw the note so they said there was nothing they could do.”
Finally, the Springfield Police office was called and they obtained a warrant to check the premises. Inside they discovered the bodies of Karen and Randy stuffed within a freezer in the home.
“Anytime you have a death, it’s terrible,” Springfield Police Sgt. Rich Charboneau told the paper. “We don’t have that many homicides here in this area, let alone Springfield, and so when you have two people whose bodies appear [that way], it’s sad.”
Jeremy Daniel Ringquist was then arrested and book in Lane County jail for two counts of aggrevated murder. He has been there since June 25th and word has come out that he took his life. Guards found him Wednesday night during the hourly checks. He had hung himself with a cord.
He was rushed to the hospital after staff tried to revive him but he died 24 hours later.
Karen’s cousin Mark was questioned by police and he said that he wanted to call for help many times but she wouldn’t let him.
“I told them, ‘Something is wrong. You guys need to check it out,’ but they said they walked around the [outside of the] house and they saw the note so they said there was nothing they could do.”
It’s just sad that nothing could have been done sooner.
