Mother killed daughter few days before wedding

The young Texas woman who, along with her teenage sister, was gunned down by their mom last week should have been walking down the aisle in holy matrimony Monday, according to a published report.
Taylor Sheats, 22, was set to marry her boyfriend of four years, Juan Sebastian Lugo, in a small ceremony today, the Daily Mail reported. They were going to have a larger, more formal ceremony once she graduated from college, the paper reported.
 Lugo’s sister Maria Lugo — despite the murderous acts of her brother’s mother-in-law-to-be — paid tribute to the Sheats family.
“Yall were part of our family, and that will never change. The greatest in laws anyone could ever have, and the sweetest, most wholesome and caring girls in my life,” she wrote on Facebook. “I look up to yall so much. Y’all were a light in the midst of this crazy world. We will love you two until the end of time.”
Taylor and sister Madison, 17, were killed by mom Christy Sheats on Friday — moments before a responding sheriff’s deputy fatally shot her in Fulshear, a Houston suburb in Fort Bend County.
Dad Jason Sheats pleaded with his wife, “Don’t do this, they’re our kids!” before she pulled the trigger.
Investigators haven’t immediately said what might have prompted Christy Sheats’ deadly actions.
The killer was an avowed gun rights advocate and authorities have said she had bouts of mental illness.
