China-Africa Win-Win cooperation

Relating with the African press corps to Beijing, China, the Deputy Director General, Department of West Asian and African Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, Beijing, China, Mr. Cao Jiachang disclosed China’s new blue print to elevating China-Africa partnership, saying that the way forward for China in the new intended relationship with governments of African countries is sustaining stability in order to attain the much needed prosperity that will be mutually benefitting to both China and African countries.
According to the Cao, who pointed out that there is a constant need for China and Africa to come together to building a better path to economic progression, China is looking at the positioning of China-Africa relationship in a highly remarkable level, for fact that China regard African countries as good friends, good partners and part of the success of China.
“In our solidarity with Africa, we hope to promote our good partnership and strengthen diplomatic ties shared with each of the African countries we have established strong bilateral relationship. We also attach great importance to this bilateral relationship and in the past decades, China has contributed and provided assistance in many forms to Africa. And we intend to increase our trade volume with Africa, promote export products from Africa, especially from less developed countries.
Trade balance and the issue of low quality goods from China

Balancing and facilitating trade between China and Africa, as well as controlling the quality of goods from China was also discussed at the meeting. The Deputy Director also emphasized that the Chinese government will ensure that there would be no decrease and shrinking of the win-win cooperation it intends maintaining under the new relationship with African countries.
In other words, he promises that his ministry will ensure that there is proper monitoring of goods from some provinces in China, saying any substandard commodity, when discovered will be destroyed immediately. He also noted that the Chinese government has provided and equipped its custom personnel with both the needed tools and training to fish out these low quality producers and products and have them quickly put out of the market, adding that, the Chinese government will not be part of any act capable of marring its good relationship with Africa.
He said, “We hope that our commodities will have high level value in Africa and in this regard, we have taken measures which include strict watch on low quality production and improving our customs skills. I would say that we attach quality to our goods, not only for our image, but also for the good of the consumers.
We see Africa as a very promising continent and our government is committed to providing assistance towards the likelihood of Africa countries, while also taking into consideration the concerns of African governments. We would maintain a close communication and cooperation with the governments of the African countries, for fact that we are seriously concerned about the trade capacity between China and Africa”
